Then, as you exit, insert our special validation ticket after the normal ticket and the price will reduce to $10. Please get the special validation ticket from Rohit & Gigi beforehand, or it will be available at the reception. This garage will close at 1am.
Baraat Welcome: The Baraat is a celebratory wedding procession in which family and friends escort the groom, who is traditionally on horseback, to the site of the wedding. Get ready for dancing, drums, and our DJ riding along in a mobile DJ booth! While Baraat parades are sometimes reserved for the groom's family, Elliott and Meghan invite and encourage all guests from both sides to participate in this fun tradition! The procession will start around 4th and F Streets NW and make its way to the West Lawn of the National Building Museum.
Milni Greeting: The Hindi word ‘Milan’ (or 'Millen' - IYKYK) is derived from a Sanskrit expression meaning “coming together." During the Milni, members of Elliott's and Meghan's family (including two special guests) will formally greet each other, exchange garlands, and engage in a bit of healthy competition as a symbol of the joining together of the two families!
Formal Indian or Black Tie Attire Preferred (i.e., men: formal Indian wear, tuxedos, or formal suits, women: formal Indian wear or floor-length/tea-length dresses). If you want to wear Indian clothes, we recommend and encourage you to do so regardless of your background!! Feel free to wear any color (including red), but we ask that the color peach be reserved for the bride & groom.
(See link below for more details on suggested attire for this event, and see FAQ page for details on where to rent/buy Indian attire)
